Beaches

In Benidorm and the Alicante region in general, you’ll find wonderful beaches. Around the time of the wedding, it will still be warm enough during the day, so don’t forget to bring your swimsuit. You can enjoy clean waters, long sandy beaches, and also quieter coves.

Some recommended areas:

  • Levante Beach and Poniente Beach (Benidorm)

  • Altea and El Albir

  • Calpe (with views of the Peñón de Ifach)

  • Jávea and Moraira (spectacular coves)

Valencia (day trip)

About an hour and a half away by car or bus.

A beautiful city that combines history and modernity:

  • Historic centre (El Carmen, Cathedral, Silk Exchange)

  • City of Arts and Sciences

  • Oceanogràfic, the largest aquarium in Europe

  • Museums, parks, and a fantastic atmosphere for strolling and enjoying great food

Ideal for a full day trip (or even staying overnight).

Alicante

Very close by and easy to visit:

  • Santa Bárbara Castle, with incredible views

  • A walk along the Explanada de España

  • Urban beach and a great selection of bars and restaurants

Perfect for combining city and beach.

Charming villages

If you’re looking for something more peaceful:

  • Altea – white old town and sea views

  • Guadalest – mountain village with a castle and lake

  • Villajoyosa – colourful houses and chocolate-making tradition

Gastronomy

Must-try dishes:
